HEALTH PROMOTING EVENING

Our last Health Promotion Evening was a great success.
Despite the terrible weather many of parents turned up on the evening which was set up to encourage and support health and wellbeing in our community. A good number of partner services took the time to come along and promote their services with children and their families. This included beauty therapist from Motherwell College, Fire Services, Community Police, Ravenscraig sports development, Halfords Seat Belt Safety, Pre five support services, Sleep Scotland counselling, speech and language advice, local optician, professional makeup artists, child simile programme and oral health. On the evening we also held a book fair and fruit and veg co-op which proved to be very popular. We earned £650 in book rewards which we aim to use to further develop literacy skills in all areas of the nursery. Huge thanks to all the parents who took the time to help out on the night. It’s so much appreciated by everyone in the service and helps to make events such as these a success.
