OUR YOUNG SCIENTIST WORKSHOPS
October 11 2015
You may have seen some of the fabulous creations which they children in the 3-5 areas have made at our latest Science Workshops! The children have been experimenting with oooblek, science snow and water marbles and even got to make their own slime to take home.
At the Animal Orchestra Workshop they were given the opportunity to experiment with sound and create their own musical Instrument based on their favourite animals then play these together as an orchestra!
We also have a variety of hands on children’s workshops planned over the next few months including;
Lots of Liquids – Experimenting with different liquid properties, they will investigate and lead experiments focused on floating and sinking, viscosity, what acids are, solubility and much more!
Dark and Light – Investigates what this really is! The children explore shadows, projections and light as an energy source and make their own sun paper pictures
Balloon cars – this investigates different forces. Children will make their own balloon powered cars and race them to the finishing line!
Science, Sweet Science – the children will make 3 different kinds of sweets to take home. They will explore the science behind how gummy sweets are made, how all those little holes get into puff candy and why sherbet is so fizzy!
We are looking forward to creating our own little future Einstein’s!
