Vision, Values & Aims
We will create a welcoming and positive ethos within a safe and stimulating environment where each individual feels cared for and valued. We will have high expectations, celebrate achievement, value diversity and promote equality in all areas of our work. We will engage with our immediate and wider community in order to create partnerships which will enable us to provide broad and balanced learning experiences for all.
We take the care and welfare of all children very seriously and aim to protect them from abuse and exploitation at all times. We understand that children have the right to be raised in a warm stimulating and safe environment therefore we work in partnership with children, their families and other services to achieve this.
Duty to Report
Staff have a professional and contractual responsibility to report any suspicions they may have of child abuse and follow procedures developed by North Lanarkshire Council in reporting any grounds for concern. We understand the need for confidentiality in working with sensitive circumstances and all information is strictly confidential and will only be conveyed to those professionals who are in a position to protect and support the child. All staff working directly with children are fully trained in Child Protection.
Keeping Children Safe
Careful planning takes account of individual social and personal circumstances and supports development of children’s Health and Wellbeing and Personal Safety.
We strive to continually develop an ethos and a learning programme which promotes the health and welfare of all children.
