Outdoor Play

Our establishment adopts an outdoors to learning approach and children will have access to the outdoor environment all day every day regardless of weather conditions. All children must have access to fresh air and physical exercise; we will not exclude any child from playing outdoors.

Outdoor learning which allows the children to take risks in a safe and secure environment is embedded into our daily routine. This provides the children with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of learning experiences in all weathers. Not only do the children benefit from the fresh air and exercise that comes with outdoor play but it helps develop a healthy appetite, promote sound sleep and develop better physical movement and co-ordination keeping them fit and healthy.

All parents must provide appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather. Weatherproof Jackets, Wellington Boots, Hats, Scarves, Sun Hats etc must be provided for your child. We also would like to remind parents that a change of clothing should always be provided for your child as accidents do happen. Nursery uniforms are also available to buy from reception.
